The Grinch plans on transforming Philadelphia into ‘Grinchadelphia’ when the grumpy, but lovable Dr.Seuss character leads an opening night parade for the holiday stage musical and stops at several locations throughout the City on Tuesday, Dec. 18 and Wednesday, Dec. 19.  The Grinch will also travel to Wilmington, DE, where he will entertain young patients at Nemours/DuPont Children’s Hospital with a reading of his favorite book, ‘Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas.’ Nemours is the sponsor of a sensory-friendly performance on Saturday, Dec. 22 at 11 am. Dr. Seuss’ HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS! THE MUSICAL opens for the holidays on December 19 and continues through December 29 at the Merriam Theater on the Kimmel Center Cultural Campus. The classic holiday musical inspired by Dr. Seuss’ original book features the hit songs “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch” and “Welcome Christmas.” Max the Dog narrates the stage musical as the mean and scheming Grinch, whose heart is “two sizes too small” decides to steal Christmas away from the holiday-loving Whos.
